Our story
For the Love of Inclusion
Owlsome Cakes was born from a simple wish: that nobody in our family, or yours, should have to sit out the best part of a celebration.
I'm Jemma, and I've always shown love through baking. Birthdays, christenings, the "just because" Sunday afternoons, there was always a cake in the middle of the table.
Then dietary requirements arrived in our family. Lactose intolerance for one, gluten sensitivity for another, and suddenly that same table looked very different. I watched people I love politely say "I'm fine, honestly" while everyone else tucked in. I hated it.
So I started again from scratch, testing recipes, learning what really makes a free-from sponge light rather than crumbly, and slowly building a kitchen where dairy and gluten simply aren't part of the process. Not an afterthought. Not a substitute version. Just the cake.
Today Owlsome Cakes makes celebration cakes, cupcakes and sweet treats for families across North Wales, and every single one of them can be shared by everyone at the table.

We make beautiful celebration cakes and sweet treats that bring people together. That means baking to a standard we'd be proud to put in front of anyone, and handling allergies with the care and seriousness they deserve.
